In the second half of July, we visited the Ukraine, which welcomed us moderate heat, torrential
rains and hospitable vegetable growers. Demonstration Greenhouse with full range of our novelties tomato is in the Ternopil
region, Zaleschitsky area. On the way from Kiev to Zaleshchiki able to meet with the farmer Nikolai Melnichenko, who lives
in the Vinnitsa region. It grows in open ground our cabbage hybrids - Start F1, Transfer F1, Prestige F1,
Favorite F1. All were successful, harvesting early cabbages already ended, medium and late hybrids already started
to tie heads. In addition, he grows cabbage and tomatoes Semko 18 F1, Semko 2010 F1, using nonseedlings
way. 20 July, at a field already ripe fruit in 2-3 clusters, the beginning of the harvest is planned in early August.
The harvest good. Let's hope that appeared because of numerous rain early Phytophthora not prevent the harvest.
In the evening we arrived in Zaleshchiki, watched our greenhouse and horrified - many
greenhouses are filled with water, the harvest was lost. Rushing river Seret flooded floodplain. Fortunately, a meeting with
farmers in the demonstration greenhouse, we can arrange.
Beautiful sunny morning allowed us to prepare to receive guests, who later in the morning came
from Transcarpathia, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil and Chernivtsi Dnipropetrovsk regions. The guests toured the entire collection
offered tomato, and then we all got together and discussed the merits of hybrids. First, the guests were surprised highly
resistant tomato proposed by us. Nearby tomatoes other firms, they were heavily infected with Cladosporium. At our plants,
hybrids were almost no foci of the disease. Secondly, he aroused the interest of variety, consisting of a variety of
tomatoes: cherry, wrist, cocktail, beef, tomatoes, medium size fruit, round, grape, cubical, and others. Of beef tomato
greatest interest was the hybrids Malika F1 and Gilgal F1. Malika F1 liked for its earliness and large (more
than 200 g) bright red fruits. Fruits Gilgal F1 matured a week later, and the plants were compact. For greenhouses
important is this trait. Among the cluster of tomato hybrid Drive F1 distinguished high marketability, and among the
tomatoes with fruit cubic form with all the noted hybrid with the provisional name Krasavitsa F1.Gradually, more
interest is tomatoes with orange and pink fruits. Our hybrids Dioranzh F1 (incidentally, the most precocious in
collections), Rose Pink 198 F1 and Pink Spam F1 liked to farmers, but after one of the farmers reported
that successfully cultivates 1 ha in open field tomato Pink Spam F1 (tied to the stakes), interest in these
hybrids increased. Farmers noted the high quality of our hybrids for open ground and tunnel greenhouses (Anuta F1,
Katja F1, Slot F1, Fifty F1), which are already well proven itself in the village Zaleshchiki. Some people
have successfully grown our new Semko 18 F1 and 2010 F1. Open discussion has given us the opportunity to
acquaint farmers with promising new products and determine the need for certain hybrids. Once again, we are convinced of
the correctness of the tactics work with vegetable growers in the region. The focus of the work to be done on the determinant
hybrids, as well as early-maturing indeterminate highly resistant hybrids with different shape and color of the fruit.

Further, our road lay in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where grow our hybrids of tomato, sweet
pepper and cucumber. In the village of villages in this year's vegetable season was not so easy, affecting even stable and
proven for years branded hybrids. This season, only here in the Dnipropetrovsk region, farmers are having problems with
sweet pepper Jubileinyi Semko F1. In the crop were found isolated plants with round fruit and fruit with a purple
hue in the technical maturity. From this, our customers immediately made clear conclusion - it is not a hybrid,
but some varietal blend, but to blame for all of our representatives - Vadim Kapinus, who sold the seeds. The
situation for us and for farmers, of course, unpleasant, and for Vadim even more. But I especially want to draw attention
to this, in general, a small flaw in our work. The fact that V. Kapinus is our official representative in the region,
with which our company has been a long time and which we fully trust. Over the seed in our original packaging in this case
is solely responsible company "Semco-Junior", Vadim also helps farmers in the settlement of the conflict. So on the basis
of examination of planting pepper, it was decided to compensate the cost of seeds. But we should also note that the
anthocyanin pigmentation of fruit in the technical maturity of the plants is a response to adverse growing conditions.
When the biological maturity of such fruits become normal red color. Cube-shaped fruit can occasionally appear, but their
proportion is low, less than 1%.
New hybrids of tomato determinant Semko 18 F1 and Semco 2010 F1 in the
greenhouses of this region showed an excellent result that gives hope to increase the procurement of seeds in the new season.
The next point of our trip - Nikopol, where we met with the leadership of "Sich" and
discussed issues of cooperation in this and next season to move determinant tomato in the market in the region. They saw
the planting of tomatoes Semko 18 F1 and Semco 2010 F1 in greenhouses, noted for their high yields, good
marketability and early ripening of fruit, as in the past year.
At Kamenka-Dnieper, on the opposite bank of the Dnieper, we were welcomed by our representative
in the region Tatiana Dmitrievna Pupko. We visited a few greenhouses, planting a tour of our hybrids, talked with farmers.
Tomato Malika F1 a delighted us with their early ripening and high yield. By 21 July in a hothouse, where cultivated
1,000 plants of this hybrid were harvested from 6 brushes, half-mast plants, the stems were placed on the ground.
Fruitification good fruit, clusters smooth, fruit without ribbing, weighing more than 200 g. In terms of maturation
this hybrid exceeds Mathias F1, the quality of fruit is not worse. The only difference was noticed - the
height of plants Malika F1 was half a meter above Matias F1.
Began sowing seeds for the second turnover, which is often grown parthenocarpic cucumbers. The
range of hybrids of cucumber are great, but our hybrid Temp F1 is in the region at least 30 hectares of greenhouses. It
attracts growers relative ease in growing and highly resistant to disease.

The next destination - Odessa. Here we met Yuri Boris Alexeyev (Director General of
JSC "Semco-Junior") and went to Tiraspol, which was celebrated 80 th anniversary of the Transnistrian Institute of
Agriculture. There were greetings from the President of Transnistria Moldovan Republic, awarding orders and medals of the
staff, welcome, gifts. Festival a success! In Tiraspol, we visited a demonstration greenhouse, where our grown hybrids of
tomato. The result was the same as what we saw in Ukraine.
High yield, good disease resistance, earliness. Especially pleased with cherry tomatoes and
among them - Cherry Lisa F1. Grape fruits of this new hybrid has excellent taste and good marketability
in the collection of individual fruits. Were noted promising number of that same group of tomatoes, an interesting hybrid
and indeterminate sredneplodny rozovoplodnye news Bokele F1 and Mamula F1. Seeds of most of these hybrids will
be on implementation in the fall of 2010 and hope that the results would be no worse than in the first greenhouse turnover
of Ukraine.
