Exhibition "Agroseason 2010"
During 18-19th of March an agricultural exhibition "Agroseason-2010" was hosted in the city of
Voronezh. Several agrarian enterprises and companies from Central-Chernozemniya region, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Siberia,
Rostov's region, Germany and Ukraine have participated in the exhibition. On the JSC "Semco Junior's" stand the actions
were as always on the "boiling point". |
In the means of marketing research conduction the seeds
in the colorful packages were used as a tool. Veterans and pensioners were able to receive Semco's seeds as a gift. However
the main agenda that was to be attained by us on the exhibition was to find out the price ranges, which are common for the
realization of seeds in particular regions, and to observe the degree to which the exhibition visitors are familiar with our
seeds assortment. We were also happy to offer the consumers our novelties of the 2010 season: cherry-tomato hybrids (Cherry
Mio F1, Cherry Likopa F1, and Cherry Kira F1), cluster tomatoes (Forte Mare F1, Grozdevoiy F1, and Drive F1), tomatoes of a
universal type Semco 18 F1, tomato for greenhouse cultivation Rozoviy Spam F1, carrot hybrid resistant to the carrot fly
Nantic Resistafly F1, and cabbage Prestige F1 with prolonged shelf life.
Two days of work on the stand has showed that "Semco Junior's" assortment is quite familiar to
Voronezh's consumer, almost all new hybrid and varieties were going like "hot cakes!" which proved the rightness of the price
range choice for the region and demand for our novelties.
Unfortunately not many farmers made it to the exhibition; however we were still able to meet up
with some of them. The organizers of the exhibition were not able to attract many of them to the stands of companies presented.
Meanwhile, even from the small number of discussion we were able to have with the farmers, we were able to understand that
farmers are familiar with our company's assortment and have even cultivated our cabbage and cucumber hybrids. Right on the
exhibition's stand several contracts for seed sales were signed and samples for regional tests of cabbage Prestige F1 were
distributed. In result we came to the conclusion that in 2010 we will be able to become more closely acquainted with the
farmers sector of Voronezh's region.
The meeting with our official partner company "Sredi cvetov-Voronezh" and its head representative
Andreiy Yurevich Vdovkin, has also ended up being very productive. The company has a large productive base, extensive
connections with other seed producing companies, agrochemical, pesticide, agro supply and plastic producers.

The whole approach
of the company "Sredi cvetov-Voronezh" to the selection of the assortment is considerably interesting. In here you can find
practically all the seeds of Russian and foreign seed producers. Their assortment is extensive, and due to that each and every
customer's demands can be fulfilled. The assortment is full of both varieties and hybrids seeds. The above approach to the
assortment selection is quite different fro the "Semco Junior's" approach, however it has a full right to exist and be
practiced.
By the results of the exhibition we received diplomas of participants, a diploma for the new tomato hybrid for the greenhouses
cultivation Rozoviy Spam F1, which also was awarded a "Golden Medal" of the exhibition. That means that from now on the line
of the golden medalists will also include hybrid Rozovyi Spam F1. |
